Environmental

Clean energy, water stewardship and a lighter footprint

Scaling up green energy

Half our power now comes from the sun.

About 50% of our total annual power requirement is now met through solar energy — a projected 45,76,772 kWh a year. This avoids an estimated ~3,726 metric tonnes of CO₂ annually (Indian grid factor of 0.82 kg CO₂/kWh) — the equivalent of removing 810 cars from the road or offsetting 615 million smartphone charges.

Water & effluent stewardship

Zero Liquid Discharge, water put back.

Our effluent is treated and reused through a Zero Liquid Discharge plant, and steam condensate is recovered rather than wasted — bringing our effluent treatment cost down to about ₹0.85 per litre.

  • ~14,868 KL wastewater recycled & reused (ZLD)
  • ~1,882 KL steam condensate recovered (CRS)
  • Effluent treatment cost down to ₹0.85 / litre

A lighter footprint

Cleaner air and greener surroundings.

  • ~400 trees of various species planted around our Manufacturing Facility at Tarapur, Boisar
  • Fuel consumption reduced by 55.29% (~8,102 litres/day on daily average)
  • Steam condensate recovered — ~1,882 KL through the CRS system
  • EcoVadis Bronze — sustainability score of 68/100 (Top 35%)
Our green impact around the Earth: 50% power from solar, ~3,726 MT CO₂ avoided a year, ~14,868 KL water recycled via Zero Liquid Discharge, and cleaner air from dust collectors & bag filters
